Jim's first album, Tequila Lips  is acoustic music with attitude. There's something of  a less means more zen to it. Using  just  two acoustic guitars, a bass, and vocals, Tequila Lips packs an interesting punch. As Jim put's it, "thestories are all true, whether they ever really happened or not." Stylistically, it runs the gamut,  including country, folk, western swing, and rockabilly.Listen to the CD once. Then listen to each song again. You'll probably spend an afternoon re-listening and realizing the depths of the first track. Give yourself that much for each subsequent adventure, because that's what each of these songs is: an adventure to a place you may have never been, or a place that's such an intimate part of you, you may not have immediately recognized it.

NO APOLOGY is a powerful statement on what it means to stay true to who you are. From his innovative opening track, " Audio Liner Notes" to the ultimate repudiation of anything ingenuine "Whores for the Cause", Jim takes you on a lyrical journey that pretty much covers all the emotion and wonder of being human. You will find yourself thinking that somehow, the songs had something in your own life in mind. There will be moments that you actually  feel you are looking yourself in the eye, maybe for the first time in a long time. There's been some living done behind these songs, and they challenge you to keep on doing the same.
